We read the book Hey Little Ant by Philip & Hannah Hoose in Morah Etas class.The book was about a kid who wanted to squish a Ant. The Ant gives many reasons not to squish him and the boy does the opposite. He gives many reasons to squish him like a bug. It gave us a question is the boy going to squish him.
I would squish him but by the jewish law of צער בעלי חיים he could not squish him, for the gain of the human must out way the suffering of the animal. This kids reasons were invalid. He was going to squish a ant because a different ant took his food ,and his friends squish ants and they want him to squish him. So in the He will not squish it.
